The Dailyskier note: Nadine Fähndrich has, perhaps, the most exciting and exotic personal sponsor in the whole of the international cross-country skiing: not only is it a huge, billion dollar company – it’s the aircraft maker who’s name is rather synonymous with high flying, both literally and figuratively speaking.
Nadine Fähndrich, in her own words:
I am very proud to represent Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. on my headgear. Since 2016 they are my main sponsor.
With the support of Pilatus, I can concentrate on the sport. This is an important point to be able to
focus and make progress. In short, they make me fly high!
Pilatus Aircraft is a Swiss aircraft developer and manufacturer. They produce the legendary PC-12 as well as the newly developed PC-24. Both are unique in a sense that they could take off and land from any rugged airfield – ability much appreciated in remote corners of the world where they often serve as medical evacuation planes, saving lives.
The company takes its name from Mount Pilatus in Central Switzerland. I come from that area thus I have a special connection to Pilatus Aircraft Ltd.
Pilatus proudly represents Swiss ingenuity and talent in the world – just like I represent Switzerland in international competitions. I am very grateful for the support I receive from them and I am proud to promote their name.
