Some 14 months after purchasing One Way back in May 2018, Fischer Sports have appointed a new manager for the brand. Severin Lehner is a long-time Fischer Sports employee but his background appears to be fully in Alpine rather than cross country skiing. Whether it indicates any change of strategy or will OW continue to be producing stuff primarily for "skinny skiing" shall be seen. Summer Skiing Shatters TV Ratings In Norway

More than 350,000 viewers turned their TV sets on to watch Toppidrettsveka's Aure-Brekka race thus setting an overall audience record for the summer broadcasting in Norway. Overall, Toppidrettsveka led the ratings battle with 1,426,000 viewers over six events broadcasting with Blinkfestival being second with 1,245,000 over seven. Fossli Sufferes Cardiac Arrest, Survives

Sondre Turvoll Fossli suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday but survived and is recovering now. Quick thinking and speedy assistance by Sondre's girlfriend Henriette Mork and a cyclist who happened to drive by and fast arrival of emergency ambulance helped a 26-year-old cross country skier to escape with his life. He's now in recovery as medics are trying to establish what could have caused a sudden heart failure with one of the world's best athletes. Team Norway doctors have already said there was absolutely nothing wrong with Fossli's ECG at the last year's in-depth check-up, neither was there any other signs of heart-related problems. Fossli is currently #22 in FIS Sprint ratings and was/is a member of the Sprint Group of the Norwegian national team.
