Small Step For Andrew Musgrave – Giant Leap For British Skiing

..and not just British. Not a huge secret that with Alex Harvey retiring , medal prospects of the English-speaking xcski world looked very dim. At least in men's skiing. It seems, the torch of the world champ Harvey is now in the hands of the man widely expected to be his successor: British-born, Norway-based Andrew Musgrave. ....who himself in post-race interview made light of his 60k C victory at the Blink Skifest today. " The real challenging races are those in the winter". We appreciate "Muzzy" as he's widely known, modesty, but venture that the victories in the company of reigning world and Olympic champions and medalists can't be " not a big deal" . The cross country world now officially has a strong medal contender and, hopefully, big-time influencer…

August is upon us and Petter Northug Jr. is finally, really, firmly launching his brand. Yes, we know, we know - technically, it's Jon Inge Gullikstad and his Brand Assist that are launching sales of Northug-labeled goods. But we seriously hope that whatever comes out carrying his name ( glasses and gloves to start with), it will reflect one of a kind persona Petter is: mega-talented, mercurial, charmingly non-PC & overall great face of the sport of cross country skiing to the outside world. We put together a list his special moments for you to remember - or to come up with your own one. Enjoy 1. 2011 "Humiliation" Relay finish, World Championship in Oslo. It comes with its own microprocessor that onworks data from an incorporated radar, 2 (two!) front and one rear Full HD video cameras, a GPS sensor and a gyroscope. It also features temperature and sweat sensors the job of which is to warn you of dangerous dehydration. It will also call & message emergency services in case of crash or collision. Yeezys And Speedmaxes Or How To Make Skiing Cool

Yeezys And Speedmaxes Or How To Make Skiing Cool

A picture is worth a thousand words. Especially when you're talking a thousand dollar item. The gentleman on the left - let's call him Ola for the sake of argument - is sporting Yeezys. Our "Yeezyxperts" are telling us that the model is, most likely, Boost 350 V2 Core Black Red. Google be your friend if you want to know how much they retail for - and be prepared for your jaw to drop. However, price in itself is not the point. The point is that they make one look cool in the eyes of one's peers. Especially if one belongs to Gen Z. Huff and puff all you like if you disagree - but that's how the world works for the last circa 5000 years ( and possibly much…

Yes, Skiers Could Be Millionaires – Johaug Declares Record Earnings

Money & Finance, Newsfeed
The fiscal year of 2018 was the most successful one ever for the maverick athlete. Despite sitting the Olympic Games out, Therese Johaug reported earnings of some NOK 5 million (520k euros) - those are, essentially, the money she makes from advertizing and endorsement outside the tracks. Technically, the year of 2017 brought even higher numbers but that came from the sale of Active Brands, the company she part-owned. Overall, in 5 years its existence, Setra AS, the company through Johaug deals with sponsors & advertisers, made some NOK 30 min. (3.1 mln euros) Do tell that to young skiers and their parents: yes, one could become very well off if she/he is a top-level skier.
