The FIS boffins caved in to the harsh realities of 2020 and have just published their decision to postpone the much talked about absolute ban on fluorowaxes from the upcoming season to 2022/23. Wise move! Here: Fluorinated Ski Wax Prohibition The Council decided in November 2019 that the use of fluorinated ski wax will be banned for all FIS disciplines from the 2020-21 season which have been shown scientifically to have a negative environmental and health impact. The Norwegian national broadcaster NRK reports that June 11th Therese Johaug will take part in the annual Bislett Games this year dubbed "Impossible Games". German Skier Injured In Training Accident

Jessica Löschke injured her leg badly in training accident in Oberwiesenthal, the local media reports. A German Junior Team member's pole snapped while bounding with a broken tip piercing the flesh so deep that local paramedics couldn't remove it. Löschke, 20, had to be airlifted to the clinic in Dresden where trauma specialists performed an emergency surgery. " Jessica was very lucky - neither key blood vessels, nor nerves were damaged " team doctor Tom Kastner told German media. Ola Vigen Hattestad Will Work With Johaug & Co

Ola Vigen Hattestad is a surprise late addition to the Team Norway coaching staff who's appointment was announced on Wednesday. Just a few months ago Hattestad sounded very content at his job with Team Slovenia. There he was coaching among the others, his wife Katja Višnar as well as Janez Lampic, Anamarija Lampic's younger brother and Eva Urevc, who is returning to competitive skiing in the upcoming season, .
