World's reigning U23 champion and the biggest Norwegian hope in distance skiing won't be taking part in Toppidrettsveka that kicks off today. Marte Mæhlum Johansen is fine herself - but someone at her university was diagnosed with Covid-19. And the Norwegian Ski Federation is taking absolutely drastic measures to prevent even a theoretical chance of its atheletes catching the virus. Even the foreign athletes who reside in Norway (cue Musgrave, Young & Clugnet) are not allowed to train and compete with the Norway's best this summer. A brief chase resulted in a man behind the wheel being subjected to a "driving under influence " test that delivered its verdict : Cocaine in blood.
