Oslo’s First Ski Tunnel Opens, Got Rothe And Holund To Promote It

Finland has Vuokatti (and more), Sweden has Torsby. Russia has Toksovo and Germany has Oberhof. See which nation is strangely missing on that list of ski tunnels? Well, no more. Klaebo Signs Largest Commercial Deal In His Career

" Uno X Norge AS and Johannes Høsflot Klaebo have entered into a collaboration aimed at promoting innovation, knowledge sharing and a culture of achievement", according to the just-issued press release. Uno X is not exactly a household name for Klaebo fans the world over but is big at the champion's home : it's a nationwide chain of self-service fuel stations. It also owns Norway's first pro-cycling team. As it is (regrettably in our concidered opinion) common in xcskiing, the sides do not disclose the financial terms of the agreement that will go till 2025. But Haakon Klaebo, Johannes' father and manager describes it as " by far the largest commercial deal that Johannes has ever signed".

Swedes Are Getting Closer To Norwegians. Here’s How

No, this photo does not imply that Norway and Sweden have decided to annul the Unionsupplösningen and go back to being a single nation once again. It doesn't even mean that in post-Corona times of tight budgets the two ski federations have decided to car share. But it's there for a reason. Because the Swedish ski federation has just announced that they are going to start using the same (Norwegian) travel/ event agency as their western neighbours. The press-release talks about " shared values " - which kinda leaves us baffled - but not being very specific on details.
