ISPO-2019. New Gear Highlights. Part 2

ISPO is considered in the winter sports industry to be a prime spot to exhibit new gear.

With a glaring exception of Amer Sports ( Salomon and Atomic), all major manufacturers are there – and tend to time the official unveiling of their newest & best wares to the show in Munich.

We covered some of them in the first report from ISPO

Let’s look at what else is there.

Madshus brought their latest Redline 2.0 skis – as seen being by Madshus athletes in skiing and biathlon from the beginning of the season, but, technically, going on sale only now. Per Wiik, Madshus Global marketing director, says that the key advantage of newest Redlines is a much broader spectrum of snow/weather conditions than with the previous edition

NB Skate version of Redline 2.0 is featuring visibly more raised tips – early examples looked nearly flat

another Madshus exhibit was their newest Redline boots. Again, already been seen used by top Madshus athletes – albeit a selected few only. Will go on sale for next season. Madshus says they are as light as any competition’s offerings while retaining what many love Norwegian boots for – warmth and comfort

Fischer presented new IFP carbon soled Speedmax boots

Many thought with a purchase of OneWay brand, Fischer would abandon attempts to produce & market their own top-end poles. They were wrong – Speedmax poles were very much there, ready for order

Spine Sports brought two very interesting items

Ultimate are their first-ever racing carbon-soled boots. Of interest is not a technology – but a sticker: the Russians firmly promise to keep it “well under 400 euros, retail”

Summer cousin of Ultimate, Skiroll Carbon Pro is a true world’s first: nobody before offered carbon soled rollerski boots

German W+R operating under the brand Kinetixx has literally stormed into xcskiing: many an athlete now sports gloves featuring distinct grip-improving Sharktec palms

Rossignol did not have premiers on purely racing side but their new X-Ium overboots are so stylish and comfortable that we predict a new fashion craze on the market: put your 600 euros carbon boots / overboots on display wherever you go , be it a trail or a nightclub
