With Victory In Falun Linn Svahn Leaves Mark In History

Newsfeed
It sounds mind-blowing but bare two months ago even World Cup teams' coaches - and reporters - did not know how Linn's last name is spelled and, upon hearing it, were wondering if she's related to Gunde Svan. Fast forward to Febrauary and marvel along with us: Svahn who turned 20 only in December has already earned her place in history of skiing: three individual World Cup victories out of seven starts in total! Curvy & fast track (Falun), altitude (Davos) or flat city (Dresden), skate or classic - seemingly makes no difference. Linn is tactically savvy and probably has fastest finish in the world in 2020. Gear News, Newsfeed
The Olympic Games in Beijing are not to kick off for another two years but the major medal contenders' preparations are in full swing always already. Or were meant to be. Nobody could guarantee that the weather will be the same during the actual event, but there is a bigger chance hitting it right in the same week of the year. Different courses/ distanced require different tests. The job therefore is long, arduous and painstaking- but needs to be done of a) the team wants to win b)can afford such…

Elena Vyalbe Becomes New Chairperson Of Russian Ski Association

Leaders, Newsfeed
Elena Vyalbe just got an important additional job. To her exisiting titles of the chairwoman of the Russian cross country ski federation (since 2010) and the senior coach of the national team (since 2012) she adds the one of a chairwoman of the whole Russian Ski Association (RSA).
