Butter Your Toast With Sundby Or How Skiing Remains So Popular In Norway

Money & Finance, Newsfeed
...I've managed to butter 8 toasts before Martin Johnsrud Sundby made a sudden appearance and destroyed my effort. It was no better with Niklas Dyrhaug either. For some reason, it was much easier to deal with Emil Iversen and I've got no less than 15 toasts done before he finally crashed into my knife. Petter Northug was not present but then I did not really expect him to turn up. A vivid dream after watching too much of Beitostølen ski racing? Nope, an online game the supermarket chain SPAR Norge running off its website since 2015 ( sorry, I know that I should have been able to butter those toasts better by now) Norwegian skiing might be a tad down after the recent doping cases of Sundby and Johaug –…

Johaug Verdict: Reactions

Here's some of the reactions on the CAS verdict extending the Therese Johaug ban to 18 months, denying her the right to participate in the 2018 Olympics: Therese Johaug: - I'm completely broken. I had a dream of going to the Olympics. I was told yesterday that I can not get it. I've tried to get into it, worked every single day, practically trained to try to succeed in the Olympics, so this is very tough. Therese Johaug will miss the 2018 Olympic games in PyeongChang This is the verdict made public today by the  Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne — Johaug is to be banned from all competitions for 18 months, starting from October 2016. "...the Panel noted that Ms Johaug failed to conduct a basic check of the packaging, which not only listed a prohibited substance as an ingredient but also included clear doping cautionary warning. Such omissions resulted in an anti-doping rule violation inconsistent with her otherwise clean anti-doping record. Nevertheless, in order to ensure equality in applying antidoping rules, the Panel highlighted that it was obliged to apply a proportionate sanction, consistent with the level of fault. For this reason, the Panel noted that, in such a situation of…
