Klaebo Signs Largest Commercial Deal In His Career

Newsfeed
" Uno X Norge AS and Johannes Høsflot Klaebo have entered into a collaboration aimed at promoting innovation, knowledge sharing and a culture of achievement", according to the just-issued press release. Uno X is not exactly a household name for Klaebo fans the world over but is big at the champion's home : it's a nationwide chain of self-service fuel stations. It also owns Norway's first pro-cycling team. As it is (regrettably in our concidered opinion) common in xcskiing, the sides do not disclose the financial terms of the agreement that will go till 2025. But Haakon Klaebo, Johannes' father and manager describes it as " by far the largest commercial deal that Johannes has ever signed".

The Norwegian national broadcaster NRK reports that June 11th Therese Johaug will take part in the annual Bislett Games this year dubbed "Impossible Games". Yes, Bislett is about athletics but Johaug is a reigning Norwegian champion in 10000m so it all makes sense. Frankly, does it really matter what the multiple Olympic and world champion competes in? Last year, for instance, Johaug took part in the competitive reality show Landskampen on TV2 - and it got great ratings. In other words, the audience wants Therese first - sport later. ...Somehow, we are ready for Klaebo taking on Bolshunov in poker or chess by now -…

Natalia Nepryaeva: Sometimes Feel Like Turning Around And Whacking Particularly Annoying Ones

We love it when in interviews top skiers instead of prowessing some internal kumbaya between all stakeholders, actually don't hold their tongues. Enter Natalya Nepryaeva. In conversation with Sportbox.ru the leader of the Russian tea had this to say (among the other things, clearly). "...When I train in the forest, I always do so with earphones. Can't stand when people I don't know try to engage me in conversation, tell me what their impressions of my performance were and so on. After Tour de Ski this year some " veterans of skiing " who I never met before wanted to engage me in conversation on the tracks as if we were to be best friends. And I was thinking " Please leave me do my job! I'm not coming to…

Ebba Andersson, Linn Svahn plus friends & associates, 56 people in all, held in impromptu race on Östersund on Friday, the local Östersunds Posten reports. And there was nothing illegal with that. It's difficult for the most Europeans and a large portion of the North Americans to imagine , but Sweden is not on a lockdown, not yet at least: restaurants are open and so are ski resorts ,for instance. Only very large gatherings are banned, and, since March 12 , that includes organized ski races. Nobody said a word about " non-organized" ones, however. Ebba Andersson won that one - as you probably figured out.
