At the age of 18 Helene Marie Fossesholm is one of the youngest skiers ever to be coopted into the main Team Norway squad. If not the youngest.

At the risk of repeating what everyone knows already: Fossesholm excels both in cross-country skiing and in mountain biking, and up until now was included in the Norwegian junior national teams for both sports

Forget her dominance at the World Juniors in Oberwiesenthal: she won Blink last August and came 5th at the Wolrd Cup in Falun. Both in 10k F mass-start, where she keeps on showing uncanny tactical skills

With Fossesholm Madshus once again has an athlete in the top squad – wasn’t the case last year when Heidi Weng switched to Fischer. Say what you will, but it’s important for the Norwegian skiing community as the whole to know that the home factory in Biri is competitive on the highest level
